We collect almost nothing, and here is exactly what that means.

The short version. Our games have no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no telemetry. Your progress is saved on your own device and never sent to us. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The only personal data we ever hold is what you choose to send us by email.

Who we are

Feruxos Ltd is the data controller for this website and for the games we publish — currently Roamferux, our first title, which is in development. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17340113, with our registered office at 1 St. Clements Road, Bournemouth, BH1 4DU, United Kingdom. You can reach us about anything in this policy at roamferux@gmail.com.

This website

feruxos.com is a static site: pages, images and fonts served from our own domain. We do not set cookies, we do not run analytics, and we do not load fonts, scripts or trackers from third parties.

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, our hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the address requested, in order to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks and abuse. This is done under our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website. We do not use this information to identify you, and Cloudflare's handling of it is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Where we link to other sites — Google Play, for instance — those sites have their own policies, and this one stops at the link.

Our games

What a game stores, and where

Our games save your progress and settings on the device you play on: in the app's own storage if you installed it from Google Play, or in your browser's site data if you play in a browser. This data stays on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to read it.

You are in complete control of it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing the game's site data in your browser, deletes everything.

What our games do not do

• They have no user accounts and ask for no name, email address or other details.
• They contain no analytics or telemetry. We do not know how often you play, how far you get or what you do.
• They show no advertising and include no advertising software.
• They do not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.

If a future version adds an optional feature that involves a third party — online play between players, for example — we will update this policy before it ships, and the game will tell you what is sent, and to whom, before anything leaves your device.

If you install through Google Play

Google Play is operated by Google LLC. When you install or update a game through Google Play, Google processes information about you — your Google account, your device and the installation — under Google's privacy policy, not ours. Google may make aggregated, non-identifying statistics about the app (such as install counts, ratings and crash rates) available to us through the Google Play Console. These do not identify you, and we cannot use them to identify you.

If you email us

If you write to us, we will hold your message and email address for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can refer back to it if you write again. We use them for nothing else, we do not add you to any list, and we do not share them with anyone except where the law requires it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.

Children

Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, of any age. Because the games collect no personal data in the first place, that protection applies to every player equally.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. In practice, unless you have emailed us, our answer will be that we hold nothing — and we will confirm that in writing. To exercise any of these rights, email roamferux@gmail.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would be grateful for the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the site or a game does with data, we will change this page and update the effective date at the top. Material changes to a game's behaviour will also be announced in the game itself.
